East Lansing, MI- Bestselling author, lecturer, radio and television personality Marianne Williamson has endorsed 8th District Congressional Candidate Bob Alexander. Williamson warmly expresses her regard for Alexander, and her support for his platform in a YouTube video that will also be included in Williamson’s online newsletter, sent to thousands of her friends and associates.

Williamson, founder of The Peace Alliance, met with Alexander during the Democratic Convention in Denver after having worked with him on previous campaigns. She endorsed Alexander’s entire platform.

In her only endorsement of a Michigan candidate, Williamson evokes Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 statement that “we are in a contest, not just for the politics of America, but for the souls of America.” She also notes that Alexander’s opponent, Republican incumbent Mike Rogers, “is someone who has vote with George Bush 96 percent of the time.”

Alexander says that he is “genuinely delighted with Marianne Williamson’s crucial endorsement of his campaign to replace Mike Rogers, who is the leading fundraiser for the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee.” He adds that it his understanding that “it is very rare for Marianne to lend her support to political candidates, which makes us even more appreciative of her help, and that of her friends.”
